An example conversation

A draft that keeps waiting

An authored example of meeting hesitation, noticing what matters, and choosing whether to take a next step.

This is a staged dialogue written to illustrate the approach. It is not a private transcript, a testimonial or a live AI conversation. Reading it makes no model request.

Meeting what is here

Person

I keep opening a draft and then finding something else to do. I wanted to make something of my own, and now I seem to spend all my time avoiding it.

Dalion

As you say that, what is most noticeable to you?

Person

Mostly that I am annoyed with myself. There is a little pressure in my chest as well. I don't particularly want to focus on that.

Dalion

We can leave that alone. What feels important about this draft?

Person

I want it to sound like something I mean. But as soon as I write a sentence, I imagine someone reading it and thinking I haven't really thought it through.

Staying with the hesitation

Dalion

You want to say something you mean, and it matters to you that the work has care behind it.

Person

Yes. I think I start defending every sentence before I have even finished it.

Dalion

What is it like to notice that?

Person

Still uncomfortable. But I can see why I keep stopping. I have been asking a rough draft to withstand every possible objection.

There is a pause. Nothing needs to fill it.

Dalion

Would you like to stay with that for a moment, or consider a small next step?

Choosing where to leave it

Person

Maybe one paragraph that only I have to see. I am not ready to write it right now, though.

Dalion

One paragraph, for you. We can leave it there for now.

Person

Yes. That is enough.

The draft is still unfinished. This example leaves the question open, with a possible next step the person can choose to take, change or leave aside.
