A moment here.
Move down whenever you like. You can pause or pass anything by.
There is the sea. A line of light, perhaps. Something different each time you look.
One small part may catch your eye. There can be room around it, too.
And this screen, here with you. Perhaps something beyond its edge is also visible.
What sounds are already here? Nearer, farther away, or very quiet.
There may be a place where you feel support: a chair, the ground, or something beneath you.
Fabric against skin. Air on a hand or your face. Whatever is easy to notice.
Perhaps one place feels warmer, another cooler. Or nothing stands out.
There may be a scent in the air. Nothing noticeable is an experience, too.
Perhaps a trace of taste, or the simple feeling inside your mouth.
A sense of your body, here in this place. Its shape, its weight, how it is held.
Inside, something may be noticeable: warmth, movement, tightness, stillness. Or not much at all.
Breathing may be noticeable somewhere. It can keep its own rhythm.
The optional visual rhythm is available with JavaScript. Your own rhythm is welcome.
If a rhythm would be welcome, there is one here. Your own breathing is welcome, too.
The light expands for five seconds and returns for five. You can follow it if you like, or let your breathing find its own rhythm.
Where is attention now? With a sensation, a sound, a thought, or somewhere else?
Small things, here already.
A few small noticings to open and read, if you like.

Cold feettouch
My feet feel cold against the floor.
There are socks nearby. I could put them on.
A little hungryhunger
There is an empty feeling in my stomach. I am hungry.
There is nothing here to eat.
I feel sad about that. And tired at the thought of going out.
A white wallsight
The wall in front of me is white. A little darker where the light does not reach.
Under the couchsight
A wrapped sweet is peeking out from under the couch.
I had not noticed it there before.
A sound nearbyhearing
There is a low hum in the room.
Between it and a passing car, I can hear a small click.
A trace of orangesmell
There is a faint smell of orange on my fingers.
The peel is still beside the cup.
Tea lingeringtaste
A slightly bitter taste of tea is still in my mouth.
Could it loosen a little? Nothing here needs to hold it.
If something in your life is asking for attention, it may be here too. There is no need to solve it yet.
Perhaps there is something that matters in it. You could stay with that, just for a moment.
Here, in your own time
Where are you now?
Perhaps something has shifted. Perhaps things feel unchanged, or you are unsure. There is no particular way to feel.
You might notice what is here, or what matters just now. You can keep that reflection to yourself.
This can be enough for now.
